This summer, we asked women to share with us about one verse from Scripture and how it has impacted their journey. We’ll be posting some of their answers here on the blog. We pray you’ll be encouraged in your own journey as you read about those of others.
This testimony is from Karen in Biloxi, MS.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. – Proverbs 3:5
I didn’t understand God’s work in me, but I trusted Him.
Three years ago, I was going through a difficult time as I was pregnant with twins. Things didn’t look good on the ultrasound and we didn’t know if they would survive or not. For two nights I woke up after nightmares and felt very panicky (I was freaking out). I cried out to God asking Him to bring me peace. At that time I heard/felt Him loud and clear saying “TRUST ME!” And I felt a sudden wave of peace wash over me. I knew, without a doubt, that God is in control and has my best interests in mind. I fell back asleep and had serenity after that – even after I lost those precious babies two weeks later. Two months after that I became pregnant again and had a beautiful baby boy. Then, after another miscarriage, I became pregnant with twins again! They are now 6 months old, healthy, and a huge blessing!
