In 2021, we’ll be sharing a monthly chronological Bible reading plan that will help us grow and understand how the Bible fits together. We wanted to go ahead and provide the February reading plan so you can print it out and have it ready for the first day of the month!
This month, we’ll continue our chronological journey through Scripture as we gain an understanding of suffering and the importance of trusting God even when we don’t understand His ways. We’ll read about God’s justice and the deliverance of His people, acknowledge God’s glorious ways, and learn more about the covenants and deep relationships that are central to Old Testament stories.
As you read this month, remember that the concept of covenant (a promised relationship) is vitally important throughout the Old Testament as it reminds us of what God values. Ask God to overwhelm you with the reality of who He is, just as He revealed Himself to Moses. Take time to praise God for the sacrifice provided in Jesus’ death and His forgiveness of our sins. As you read stories of the Passover, recognize the death of the Passover lambs as a picture of Jesus’ costly death for us.
We hope these passages encourage you, help you acknowledge God’s glorious majesty, and praise Him for the story of love and salvation He has woven throughout history.
