As 2015 comes to a close, we’ve been looking back at the year. We have so much to celebrate! We have loved being a part of your lives in 2015 and hope you’ll continue to allow us to be part of your life in 2016 and beyond.
As we reminisced, we thought we’d share some of our favorite things about 2015 with you! In no particular order, here are the top 5 things we’re looking back on in 2015.
One. We celebrated 20 Years of Ministry Partnership with Beth Moore.
In February, Beth Moore spoke to Lifeway as we celebrated 20 years of ministry partnership together and how God has allowed us to participate in ministering to people around the world through that partnership.
This year, we also celebrated the release of her new book, Audacious. This message is one of her most treasured yet and she spoke about being audacious for Christ at the 2015 Living Proof Live Simulcast. Over 10,000 women (and men) watched the simulcast from all 50 states and 19 countries!
It’s time for us to live audaciously with the guts to give Him the glory. – Beth Moore
Along with the simulcast, we had Living Proof Live events in 11 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Next year, we’re excited to go to 12 more cities, including a special Living Proof Live event in Chinle, Arizona. We hope you’ll join us at one of those events!
This last month in 2015, Beth also announced a new venture—she’ll be studying the Bible each Wednesday night with you! Check bethmoore.org/TV for specific times.
Two. We’ve published several new studies to bring women closer to Christ by learning God’s Word.
Our new releases for 2015 were Fight Back With Joy by Margaret Feinberg, Seamless by Angie Smith, Hosea by Jennifer Rothschild, Friends of Jesus by Karen Kingsbury, Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer, Living in Truth by Mary Jo Sharp, Open Your Bible by Raechel Myers and Amanda Bible Williams, and Foundations by Robby and Kandi Gallaty.
We also re-released updated versions of Living Free by Beth Moore and Life Lessons from Women in the Bible by Rhonda Kelley.
The response to these new studies has been overwhelming! We’ve loved to hear how you are using them and seeing who you are studying with!
Three. We got an online makeover!
We upgraded the look of our blog and we just love it. We typically post five (or more) posts a week, and we love seeing you all comment and interact with one another and our posts. We’ve invited in several guest writers and enjoy learning from them and seeing their unique take on what it means to live life as a Christian.
We also joined Periscope (we’re @LifewayWomen). We think it’s so fun to show you behind-the-scenes looks into our events and our Bible studies. We have enjoyed interacting with you more on Instagram this year, as well. It’s been fun to show you more of what we do while seeing a little bit of your lives. Plus, capturing those moments have really helped with this post. 🙂
We have enjoyed watching the hashtag #BibleStudyMoments on Instagram as it fills with pictures of women in the Word of God.
Another major thing we did this year online was Online Bible Studies. This has been so fun! We began in January of last year with Freefall to Fly and so far we’ve studied four other Bible studies together with you. We’ve seen sweet community develop and beautiful growth happen through our online studies and we can’t wait to see how God continues to use the online studies as an avenue to draw more women to Him in the future.
We also launched two fun things online—DevoHub and smallgroup.com. DevoHub is a library of online devotionals right on your phone. Smallgroup.com is a library of customized studies perfect for your group! Be sure to check those out.
Four. We’ve attended so many great events with you.
We talked about the Living Proof Live events earlier, but we also held another Priscilla Shirer Live event and Simulcast in April. Over 2,000 people in 54 churches, representing 49 states and 7 countries participated in the event. We also collected over $85,000 during the Giving Opportunity for Mercy Ministries!
At our Women’s Forum, we had 950 participants and collected nearly $7,000 worth of coats for refugees. We heard from many of you that it was your favorite Forum yet and we loved learning about leadership alongside you in November.
Each Living Proof Live event hosts a YOULead training before the event, where we train and encourage leaders in their ministries. We also hosted several BETA conferences for women’s ministry leaders. These have been fantastic times of learning from each other!
In December, we launched our first ever Abundance Event. The event included a multi-speaker platform with several new-to-us speakers, such as Lysa TerKeurst, Jefferson Bethke, and Raechel Myers and Amanda Bible Williams.
In addition to the events aimed at women, we also hosted several Marriage Getaways and loved witnessing and hearing stories of marriages and lives transformed at those events.
Five. We were happy to be a part of the release of War Room.
We partnered with the Kendrick Brothers to bring War Room curriculum to you. The powerful movie was such a success and starred some of our favorite people. We loved seeing your reactions to the message of the movie. We were privileged to bring you a War Room Bible Study and Battle Plan for Prayer Bible Study, so you could take the concepts in the movie home to your life and prayers. We’ve loved seeing the War Room App (iOS , Android) being used to share prayer requests and pray for those in your community. We were thankful to play a role in bringing home the message of the importance of prayer.
We also enjoy seeing your war rooms on Instagram. And this picture made us all laugh.
Those are five of our favorite things about 2015, but our absolute favorite thing about 2015 has been you. Thank you for reading, for commenting, for attending, for studying, for liking. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your life in 2015. We can’t wait to see what God does through you in 2016.
