We may still be in the Dog Days of summer, but that means fall is just around the corner. Now is the time to start planning for fall Bible studies.
With all the Bible studies to choose from, how do you decide which one is best for your group this season? We’re here to help!
Groups often choose studies for different reasons. Perhaps your group has fallen in love with one teacher. They love Jennifer Rothschild or Priscilla Shirer and eagerly anticipate the release of their next study. Or maybe your group likes to try a variety of teachers. They’re always looking for the newest study, no matter the writer. Maybe your group has been meeting together for some time and you know their needs and want a study that speaks directly to them. You pick studies based on subject matter. Or perhaps your group thrives on certain styles of studies. They prefer something with more life application or something that takes a Scripture passage verse by verse.
We understand that every group is unique, which is why we love having a variety of studies! Here are a few new studies we think you’ll love for fall.
If your group is interested in connecting the Bible as a whole, or some in your group are new to the Bible, we recommend Seamless by Angie Smith.
If your group loves Jennifer Rothschild or likes studying books of the Bible as a whole or needs a message about the love of God for His children, we recommend Hosea: Unfailing Love Changes Everything.
If your group likes a storytelling style and wants to more about the life of Jesus, we recommend The Friends of Jesus by Karen Kingsbury.
If your group wants to get a glance at many passages of Scripture through the lens of women in the Bible or if you prefer a book-only study, we recommend Life Lessons From Women in the Bible by Rhonda Kelley.
If your group is interested in learning how to have conversations with friends who believe differently from them, if you want to learn what truth is and how to express it, we recommend Living in Truth by Mary Jo Sharp.
If your group loves Priscilla Shirer, if you realize we as Christians are at war and need to suit up, or if you like going through a passage verse-by-verse, we recommend The Armor of God.
