As a young military wife—moving from city to city and being forced to make new friends at each base—I learned the value of good mentors and godly women who could speak into my life.
The Lord was already preparing me for ministry through these years.
Our family finally settled in the beautiful Pacific Northwest in the state of Oregon, nestled in a valley between the Pacific Ocean and the giant Cascade Mountains. At 26 years old, I formed my first women’s ministry team and started my journey as a women’s coordinator and Bible study teacher. God’s Word and equipping women to apply God’s Word and fulfill their calling has been my life’s passion, having served in most every area of women’s ministries over the past 30 years.
In 2002, I was asked to lead a new type of Bible Study (video-driven) by renowned author/teacher, Beth Moore. I watched as women from non-evangelical churches and Catholic churches attended my morning and evening Bible studies. Beth’s appeal to women of all denominations seemed to be a huge draw.
The Holy Spirit was doing a mighty work of unity in our midst, laying a foundation for what was to come.
In 2008, after several years of driving carloads of women to other cities to see Beth Moore live and to be a part of her simulcasts, our home church hosted a Living Proof Live Simulcast. The response across our valley was nothing short of miraculous. When event day arrived, women poured through the doors from 52 different churches and 23 different denominations. Many first-time decisions for Christ were made as well as 72 re-dedications!
It is very safe to say, we were “wowed by God” through this simulcast.
We were hooked as a community of believers! We have hosted simulcasts with Beth Moore and Priscilla Shirer every year since in various churches, both large and small. It has been a joy to help train and offer resources to other teams on how to host a successful simulcast reaching women for Christ. In 2009, it was an honor for me to become a simulcast specialist with the Lifeway Women team, promoting and connecting churches in the US with this wonderful tool of technology to reach the hearts of women.

The hunger we see today for God’s word in our region of the country is unprecedented. God is pouring out His Spirit and bringing revival on our college campuses and in our churches. As a senior women’s leader, I have great hope for the future. Jeremiah 29:11 is one of my life verses:
“For I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.”
As I see women responding to Bible Studies, simulcasts, and Bible-based events, I have great hope that the next generation will have God’s word deeply imprinted upon their lives. I thank God for the marvelous cutting edge resources offered to women through the ministries of Lifeway.

Open the doors of your church and your heart to your sisters from other denominations and watch what God will do as you partner to reach women for Christ through simulcasts.
