Who Are Digital Events For?
Everyone loves an invitation! Whether it’s snail mail with a stamp or an Instagram invite via a DM, they all convey belonging because it communicates that you thought of someone. With digital events, there is no limit to the number of women you can invite! When you purchase a church host registration, you can gather as many women as your space can hold. Hosting allows you to further the reach of your ministry. Then, think outside your women’s ministry: use digital events as an opportunity to expand the walls of your church. Consider who you link arms with regularly in partnership. Think about the churches down the road, college groups, or parachurch organizations in your community. How could your invite list expand your ministry?
Let those on your invite list know they’re welcome back! Digital events allow you to make strategic ministry moves as you build your church calendar with discipleship in mind. With events placed throughout the year, you can position your event date to launch into a Bible study. Or, use an event as a wrap party at the end of a study. At Lifeway Women, we want to support your ministry calendar all year long. Consider offering Bible study signups at the event to invite women who are already in the room. It’s an easy way to extend that warm welcome by saying, “We should do this again!”
What Does Hosting a Digital Event Look Like for You?
As a leader, you often juggle a lot mentally. Spring is busy, and the Christmas season can be full. We purposefully place events in times when you may be spread thin as a leader. We hope to partner with you in ministry by providing a full event that offers you the freedom to have trustworthy teaching covered, biblical worship checked off, and promotional materials created. You’re left with the ministry of presence: connecting, encouraging, simply seeing the woman in front of you, and maybe even being free enough to take a seat.
Digital Events For Those Who Aren’t Women’s Ministry Leaders
If you’re not a women’s ministry leader, don’t let that stop you! Your home is grounds for the gospel and a space for invitation. Digital events are planned with you in mind! Ministry can start with the next-door neighbor, the acquaintance you wish were a friend, a small group that wants to go deeper, or the family already living in your home. It’s as easy as inviting, gathering, and trusting the Lord goes before you.
However hosting looks, we are grateful for your partnership in the gospel going out and are praying for you and cheering you on as you open the door to women this year!
This fall, consider offering Angels, an 8-week study by Melissa Spoelstra (currently available as an online Bible study to preview the content!), perfectly timed to host women for Prepare Him Room, available to stream November 13–December 31, where we’ll learn about the significance of angels in the Christmas narrative.
