Ready to celebrate the joy of Christ’s coming with your small group this Advent season? Keep Jesus at the center amid all the hustle by hosting intentional get-togethers that are fun and Christ-centered. It’s easy to get swept up in busyness, but Advent invites us to slow down, reflect, and focus on the good news of great joy. Here are four ways you can celebrate Advent with your small group:
- Have a gingerbread house decorating competition. Split your group into teams of two and have each team decorate their own gingerbread house. Line them all up when you’re finished and take a vote for the best one!
- Host a Christmas pajama party. Invite your group to wear their favorite Christmas pajamas and come over for some Christmas-y treats! Then gather around to watch the Prepare Him Room Virtual Event together.
- Do a Christmas karaoke night. Pull out your favorite Christmas songs and sing your heart out with your group!
- Plan a Christmas craft night. Make sure everyone has a copy of Behold the Savior and have them vote on which craft they’d like to do from the study. As you create, discuss what you’ve been learning from the Advent Bible study.
