Have you ever wished you could sit down in a casual coffee shop with one of our authors and speakers and chat? We are so thankful for the amazing women of God we have the privilege of working with regularly. And while we can’t all gather in our favorite downtown coffee shop, we want to give you the opportunity to know them a little more personally.
Every so often we’re sharing a fresh “coffee chat” with a member of the Lifeway Women family to give you the opportunity to get to know her a little better.
This month, get to know our Lifeway Women Simulcast speakers!

If you weren’t a Bible teacher, what job would you like to have? Since I was little, I have always wanted to name nail polishes. Someone hire me! I will crush it!
What verse is giving you life right now? I’m deep in Psalm 73, and the “hinge moment” is really ministering to me. I love the way so many Psalms have a worship moment that functions like a bridge between confusion and clarity! It says, “When I tried to understand all this, it seemed hopeless until I entered God’s sanctuary” (v. 16-17a).

If you weren’t a Bible teacher, what job would you like to have?
I might enjoy working on a farm. But this is theoretical. It appears charming but I know in reality it would be a ton of physical labor. So if I didn’t end up liking farming, I think I would enjoy flipping houses.
What verse is giving you life right now?
Ezra 7:10, “Now Ezra had determined in his heart to study the law of the Lord, obey it, and teach its statutes and ordinances in Israel.” It’s a reminder to me that we can only obey what we know, and we can only genuinely teach what we’re obeying.

The verse giving me life right now – prayer I’ve been praying over adult children (OK – it’s three verses!) is the sweetest:
I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.“
