National Cocoa Day is December 13, and what better way to celebrate than with a hot chocolate bar?! Whether you have a movie night planned or a Christmas party coming up, everyone loves hot cocoa this time of year!
All you need to do to host a hot chocolate bar is gather your ingredients (listed below), place them in cute containers with our free printable tags, invite your friends over, and enjoy each sip!
What you’ll need:
- Hot chocolate mix (or make your own using our recipe—we’ve shared it on the recipe card below!)
- Warm water or milk (Microwaving works!)
- Mugs or festive disposable cups
- Stir sticks or plastic spoons
And don’t forget the best part: toppings!
Here are some ideas:
- Whipped cream
- Chocolate chips
- Marshmallows
- White chocolate
- Peppermint
- Caramel bits
- Finely chopped nuts
- Sea salt
- Toffee
- Sprinkles (In red and green, of course!)
- Candy canes
- Ground cinnamon

Download our cute toppings tags to place on the containers of your hot chocolate bar. You could print them on card stock to place in front of the containers, turn them into stickers, or punch a hole in the top of the tag and use festive string to tie them around the jars holding the toppings.
And don’t forget to print a sign! We think this would look so cute framed as an 8×10 sign to welcome your guests to the hot chocolate bar.
