Fall is just around the corner! We asked several friends on our Lifeway Women team to share some of their favorite activities for fall. Ranging from hosting an apple pie bake-off to knitting a scarf to starting a gratitude journal, we’ve got you covered. So put on a cozy sweater and grab a tasty fall cup of coffee to get started on planning some fun fall activities with your family and friends!
Here’s our list for fall fun in 2023:
- Go on a road trip destination where you can take a fall foliage drive.
- Go apple picking—and then make a yummy apple pie with those apples! You could even host an apple pie bake-off in your community.
- Pumpkin painting.
- Make pumpkin bread.
- Get a PSL (pumpkin spice latte).
- Host a neighborhood soup party or chili cookoff.
- Make a simmer pot with apples, cinnamon, cloves, and lemon juice to make your house smell like fall.
- Have a firepit/s’mores bar.
- Create a homemade pumpkin spice creamer.
- Make fall leaf drawings.
- Knit a scarf.
- Plant some mums.
- Carve pumpkins with your small group.
- Add some candy corn to your bowl of popcorn to have a festive movie night.
- Visit a farmer’s market.
- Make a caramel apple bar.
- Tailgate with your family/friends.
- Create a thankful project (for example, keep a gratitude journal, fill a mason jar with popsicle sticks that you write on what you’re thankful for, create a thankful wreath with your kids, and so forth).
- Try a new appetizer while you watch football.
- Visit a college campus during football season or attend a local high school football game.
- Go to a corn maze.
- Go on a hike.
- Take a scenic train ride.
- Go camping.
- Roast pumpkin seeds.
- Go to a local art studio and make some fall pottery, woodworking, or floral arrangement.
- Visit local caverns.
- Visit a local pumpkin patch.
- Go on a full moon night hike.
- Visit your local craft fairs and county and state fairs.
