In case you missed it, Lifeway Women recently launched a new series of online, on-demand courses called Lifeway Women Academy, and we couldn’t be more excited about it! We created these courses with you in mind—women of faith and disciple makers who want to be able to confidently study and teach the Bible to others. Here’s a little inside look into why we created this resource.
If you’ve been around Lifeway Women for a while, you know that we exist to equip women to serve wherever God has called them. Whether formally or informally, many of you are working in your community, homes, and local churches to raise up disciples, teach the Bible, and grow in your knowledge of God.
Some of you are teaching a Sunday School class and want to be equipped to answer the questions of young, curious minds.
Some of you are women’s ministry leaders and want to be able to confidently teach other women.
Some of you are what we lovingly call “Bible nerds” (and many of us are included in that category!) who just can’t get enough of historical context, Bible commentaries, and Hebrew lessons.
We recognize that for some, Bible studies are the best way to spend time in the Word. Others have been called to deepen their theological knowledge by attending seminary. But many others—whether due to time, resources, or life stages—are looking for something in-between. Our desire is for Lifeway Women Academy courses to bridge the gap between traditional Bible studies and seminary training.
Lifeway Women Academy courses are online and on-demand, offering you maximum flexibility to fit them into your busy schedule. Each course consists of approximately 10 video lectures, 40–60 minutes each, from Bible teachers like Jen Wilkin, Elizabeth Woodson, Dr. Julia Higgins, and more. They also include self-graded quizzes and assignments to help you measure your progress in learning. Plus, dive even deeper with recommended reading lists for each course.
No matter your reason or circumstance, we created Lifeway Women Academy to help you feel confident and equipped to study and teach God’s Word wherever you have been called.
