Do you have trouble thinking of words to say to God when you pray? Are you afraid some emotions are too intense to express to God? Do you reach the end of a day only to realize you haven’t prayed at all? You’re not alone. Prayer is the way we relate to God, but sometimes it’s a struggle. Throughout God’s Word, we encounter many voices who teach us how to pray.
Join us on August 26-27, 2022 for our Lifeway Women Live Atlanta event to explore different types of prayer modeled in Scripture, understand how prayer unites believers to God and to one another, and learn how to overcome struggles that keep you from talking to God.
Plus, this live event will also be a live Bible study taping. That means the teaching sessions on prayer will be turned into a Bible study releasing in April 2023: Whey You Pray.
Lifeway Women Live Atlanta and When You Pray feature six beloved Bible teachers who will help you study prayers in the Bible that can inspire your own. You’ll hear from:
Kelly Minter on how Jesus teaches us to pray
Jackie Hill Perry on prayers of petition
Jen Wilkin on prayers of adoration and praise
Jennifer Rothschild on prayers of lament
Jada Edwards on prayers of intercession
Kristi McLelland on prayers that unify
At this event and through this Bible study, you’ll learn that God welcomes your praise and lament, your thanksgiving and intercession. You’ll see examples of how to pray when you’re alone and when you’re gathered with others. Above all, you’ll notice there’s no one right way to pray. As you draw near to God through prayer, you’ll find your faith strengthened and your heart united to Christ.
Plus, when you join us live in Atlanta, you’ll also experience a “concert of prayer,” a special session led by BK Bridge, our worship leaders for the event. You’ll feel empowered to put what you’ve learned about prayer into practice that weekend, spending time talking to the Lord in community with your sisters in Christ.
So what do you say – will you join us?
