In 2020, we’re providing a monthly reading plan centered around our blog theme for 2020: Life Connections. We wanted to go ahead and provide the April reading plan for those of you that like to print it out and have it ready for the first day of the month!
As we look at April, we’re thinking of Easter. Our entire faith hinges on that Sunday, the celebration of death defeated, of eternal life secured. This month in the reading plan, we’ll read about Jesus’ last days on earth. We’ll read of His death and His resurrection. We hope these passages of Scripture help turn your heart toward Him this month as we praise God for sending His Son to die so we don’t have to.
We’ll also read about this new life—stories from the Bible that illustrate what it means that we were dead in our sin and made alive in Him. We’ll read about holiness and what it looks like to follow Jesus with our whole selves.
We hope this month’s reading plan points you to Christ but also motivates you to tell others about what He’s done for you!
If you’d like to study more about the life of Jesus and what it means to be alive in Him, we recommend checking out The Gospel of Mark by Lisa Harper, Finding I AM by Lysa TerKeurst, Raised Together by Gloria Furman, and Jesus the One and Only by Beth Moore.
