More than 1,600 women from 30 states and 2 countries came together under dim lights, softly yet passionately singing the lyrics, “I’ve known You as a Father, I’ve known You as a Friend, And I have lived in the goodness of God.” Tears running down many faces as sweet surrender took place in liquid form. I want to remember this scene forever.
This was my first Lifeway Women’s Leadership Forum. Many ladies told me it was their favorite event and I would simply smile and nod my head as if I understood why. But now, I can confidently say I agree with them.
In the midst of running into old pals, you also get to experience three days packed full of general sessions from some of the best teachers in the world, breakout sessions that vary from “Navigating Gender Wars” to “Professionalism in Ministry and the Marketplace,” exhibitors from all over America, panels discussing hot topics, networking, and more! Women come from all different backgrounds and denominations, hungry to be trained and equipped. There are women who have been walking with God for half a century, while other women are new to Christianity and are looking for their next step to take.
This year our theme was “Flourish” from Acts 12:24, “But the word of God flourished and multiplied.”
Through our general speakers—Christine Caine, Shelley Giglio, Robby Gallaty, Kelly Minter, Alena Pitts, Whitney Capps, and Jada Edwards—we learned different aspects of flourishing where God has placed us.
Wherever you are in life, whatever season you might be in, this event is for you! We hope that you’ll consider joining us for Women’s Forum in 2020. We will be on the West Coast in Irvine, CA on February 20-21 and in Hendersonville, TN on November 12-14.
Here’s a quick recap video and some fun pictures of our time at Women’s Forum, 2019!
If you were in attendance this year, leave a comment with how God is encouraging you to flourish!
