In 2019, we’ll provide a monthly reading plan centered around our blog theme for 2019: This Is Discipleship. We wanted to go ahead and provide the November reading plan for those of you that like to print it out and have it ready for the first day of the month!
We’ve already talked about the importance of community in being a disciple, but this month, we wanted to focus again on relationships. Our God is a God of relationships—the entire story of the Bible tells about a God who longs to be with His people.
In that same way, we are called to be with one another. We’re called to have relationship both with God and with other humans. We are called to bear God’s image in that way among others. We cannot do life alone, and we’re not meant to.
This month, we’ll read passages from all over the Bible about relationships. Some of the stories and verses we’ll read show us what not to do. And some of them encourage and challenge us in our relationships—to forgive, to love, to pass on the mantel well. We’ll read of God’s love for His children and be encouraged to love the same way.
We hope, as we read together in this month when we’re usually drawn to be thankful, we’ll also be thankful for relationships. We pray these passages point you to the God who desires to be with you. We pray they move you to share His love with all those around you.
