With the end of summer quickly approaching and the school year coming back into view, we’re looking forward to bit a more of a routine. This is especially true when it comes to the family! And one routine that we’re excited to get into is time in the Word together.
But how do you open Scripture and ensure that the youngest to the oldest understands? Don’t worry: we’re sharing some of our favorite family Bible studies for you to do with each age group in your home!
Let’s start with the studies made for the whole family, then we’ll share a few more made for just adults and teens!
Studies for All Ages:
Defined by Priscilla Shirer & the Kendrick brothers | 8 Sessions
How do you (and your husband and kids) define yourself?
When you introduce yourself to someone for the first time, you have an opportunity to define yourself. You disclose your name, profession, and interests. These factors help our culture define us, but are those answers enough? There are bigger questions our culture can’t answer: who am I? and why do I matter? And before asking, who am I? you must first answer, who is God?
The Scripture teaches that we are all made in the image of God. We do not define ourselves—the Creator does. We were all created to be known and loved by God. Once the answers are clear, we can move forward and discover all God has called us to be.
All ages available August 1! Check out this new resource here.
Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer | 7 Sessions
All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you and your family—unseen, unheard, yet felt throughout every aspect of your life. A devoted, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you: your heart, your mind, your marriage, your children, your relationships, your resilience, your dreams, your destiny.
But his battle plan depends on catching you unaware and unarmed. If you’re tired of being pushed around and caught with your guard down, this study is for you. The enemy always fails miserably when he meets a family dressed for the occasion.

In this 6-session study, delve into Scripture to explore how God created you and your family to seek after Him—a God who desires to be found and known. In this lifelong quest of faith, learn to develop your intimacy with Him and embrace the adventure that comes with living a life for God.

Homegrown by Dr. Josh and Christi Straub | 6 Sessions
As parents, we want to raise children who know God, love Him, and share His love with the world. But how do you prepare a spiritual seedling to become fully grown?
Raising great kids is less about our own parenting skills and more about God’s power. When the Holy Spirit lives through us, we model the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—for our children.
While there aren’t teen and kid versions of this study, there are activities and prompts in the adult study guide for you to dive deeper with your kids, teaching them more about the fruit of the Spirit!

All Things New by Kelly Minter | 8 Sessions
Through this study, you’ll get to lead girls through the Letter of 2 Corinthians to discover how Paul’s encouragement to the believers in Corinth challenges the church and young women today. As new creations in Christ, we are to spread the message of Jesus’ grace, comfort, and generosity with the world. In the way we live, we must boldly declare that He makes all things new.

We Saved You a Seat by Lisa-Jo Baker | 7 Sessions
In a culture where friendship is measured in follows, likes, mentions, and snaps, and being “unfriended” is a very real worry, girls often think they need to have it all together—and so do we! The pressure for perfection creates distance instead of real, authentic relationships.
We Saved You A Seat will take you and the teen in your life deeper into Scripture to learn how to create, invest in, and keep up lifelong friendships. Jesus is the role model for our friendships and Scripture is the foundation. We don’t wait until we’re all put together to come to Jesus.

Rachel and Leah by Nicki Koziarz | 6 Sessions
There is a quiet question that every girl asks in her heart at some point in her life: “Why her?” Comparison is a struggle that many of us constantly combat, and that was a challenge throughout the lives of Rachel and Leah in the Bible. Like us, Rachel and Leah experienced disappointment, heartache, brokenness, and emptiness. They had to learn that the success of others is not meant to discourage. And sometimes, through the most difficult times, we learn that God is for us much more than we ever dreamed.

Looking for Lovely by Annie Downs | 7 Sessions
We are not promised lives of ease. Often it takes just a small moment of beauty to regain hope and continue on when life is chaotic and unpredictable. Only when we learn to spot the lovely in the midst of hardship can we experience the transcendent peace of God that keeps us persevering when we want to give up.
In our everyday, normal lives, looking for lovely is discovering God and connecting with Him in the midst of the positive and negative circumstances we face. God asks that we trust His timing and lean in as He turns the soil in our lives to make everything beautiful in His time. In the end, it is not about outside circumstances but actually about our hearts.

Jude by Jackie Hill Perry | 7 Sessions
The Book of Jude is often forgotten, but is just as relevant today as in the time it was written. God’s beloved church must do the necessary work of contending for the faith in a world of unbelief and as they do, their Lord will keep them from falling into this same deception. Walk through this study with the teen girls in your life who are looking to study a book of the Bible they might not have opened before! Dive into themes of being called, loved, and kept, and learn how to point others to Jesus in grace and truth.
Releasing October 1! Learn more about this one here.
