About Rachel Joy:
Rachel Joy is the Founder and Executive Director of Sparrow Women, a catalytic ministry in Dallas, Texas connecting women to God and His heart for reconciliation. Sparrow exists to catalyze the next generation of reconcilers through the annual conference, Sparrow Resources, Sparrow Lead, & will soon pursue justice and mercy with the launch of The Sparrow Center. Rachel has lead and taught Bible Studies for almost 20 years. She is married to Trevor, a pastor at The Village Church, and they live in Highland Village, Texas with their four children.
About Nikki Lawrence:
Nikki Lawrence is a connector by nature. Among her many passions she wants to see women walk in gospel-centered community as well operate in their God-given giftings—whatever their spaces of influence. As the Director of Partnerships at Sparrow Women, she is able to see both come together as she works alongside the team to equip women for the work of reconciliation. Sparrow exists to catalyze the next generation of reconcilers and mobilizes currently through a yearly conference in Dallas, Texas. Nikki lives in North Dallas and serves at The Village Church.
Mary Margaret West serves as the Girls Ministry Specialist for Lifeway, which basically means that teenage girls and the women who lead them are her favorite people on the planet. She served several churches as a Girls Minister, has a Master’s degree from NOBTS, and is a former Event Coordinator. Mary Margaret has a passion to equip girls and women to dive deeply into God’s word and live out their calling. Mary Margaret is married to Jonathan and they love living in Franklin, TN. Elizabeth Hyndman reads, writes, and tweets. Officially, she’s a Content Editor and a Social Media Strategist. She managed to find a job where she uses both her English undergraduate and her seminary graduate degrees every day. U.S. stats from Global Slavery Index 2018:
- Its estimated about 403,000 people in the U.S. live in slavery, this is 3 times higher than the UK (~136,000)
- About 1 in every 800 people in the U.S. is working under forced labor
- Forced marriage is a form of modern slavery present in the U.S.
- Modern slaves in the U.S. primarily work in domestic work, agriculture, traveling sales, restaurants and food service, and health and beauty
