This monthly feature will give you the inside scoop on our events from backstage passes to interviews with our speakers, here’s what happens In Any Event.
With 2018 just beginning, could there be a more perfect time to map out your next girls’ trip? We think not. 🙂 A Lifeway Women event is coming to a city near you in 2018, so grab some girlfriends, neighbors, a few fellow moms, your small group, or some women in your church and attend together. Maybe even consider spending the weekend together! Here are a few fun ways to bring a group to a women’s event in 2018.
Share a Common Experience With Fellow Moms
You already share the experience of motherhood—why not bond over another experience together? Every Lifeway Women event is centered around worship and God’s Word. Your group will hear a fresh message from one of our authors (Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer, Lisa Harper, Lysa TerKeurst, Kelly Minter and more) that is sure to help you grow and mature in your faith. Experiencing it together provides a space for the women in your group to talk about what they heard and explore the questions they have together.
Finally Reunite With Old Friends From School
Is there anything better than uninterrupted time to dive into a myriad of topics with old friends? It would be a gift to step away from real life and give time to building relationships. Whether it’s building on an established relationship that’s stood the test of time or reconnecting with a friend you haven’t seen in years, time away can help you feel more connected and remind you that you’re not alone. Not only that, but you’ll have an experience to talk about for many years to come.
Explore a New City With Your Bible Study or Sunday School Group
Taking a trip as a small group can be a great way to jumpstart your group relationships as you start a new year together. Spending a weekend together allows you to get to know each other in a different way than you will in your regular meetings, and that closeness will deepen your meeting time for the future! Choose a city near you or a destination city to attend an event and enjoy being a tourist. Have someone in your group research some fun restaurants and the must-see places in your chosen city. If one of our events is coming to your hometown, choose a few things you’ve always wanted to do but can never find the time for and do them together. In any case, soak up the culture and enjoy each other.
Experience All the Road Trip Antics With Mom, Sisters, Aunts, and More
All good road trips include great music, games, snacks, and of course the woman who needs to use the restroom…again. In all seriousness, something magical can happen when you set out to discover a new place and experience something new together. Traveling to an event includes a spirit of adventure that everyone can enjoy.
Make Memories With Neighbors
Round up your neighbors and make memories with each other outside the neighborhood. Your group will go home and have lots of conversations that begin with “Remember the time we…” You can remind each other about what you saw, heard, and experienced. Spiritual markers that come from hearing and responding to God’s Word are reinforced when you’ve shared them with friends with a sense of community.
It’s Easier Than You Think
Sometimes we think things are more difficult than they actually are. The event coordinators at Lifeway Women have created an FAQ to help you in your planning. Browse the Lifeway Women Events page to find an event coming to a city near you, and look for the link on the each event’s web page under the Group Incentives tab for more info on how to save when you bring a group. We are here to help you, and you can contact us at womensevents@lifeway.com if you need a little extra encouragement.
So what are you waiting for? Check out the 2018 cities, gather your friends, and get the van(s) reserved!! Most events are only $59.00 a person when you purchase 10 or more tickets at one time.
