Christmas is just around the corner, and if you’re anything like us, you’re doing your best to juggle the last minute holiday shopping, Christmas parties, progressive dinners, and more. This is such a sweet time of year, but it can also be one of the busiest!
Here are a few tips for keeping your cool and soaking in all of the time with family and friends during these crazy weeks of December:
- Be present around the table. Put up the phones, and do what needs to be done to really enjoy the people that gather for a meal around the table. This might be one of the few regular rhythms we can establish to stay connected every day during the busyness. For your special meals this holiday season, we’ve created these fun place cards for that extra special touch.
- Cook/bake as a family. As kids, some of the sweetest times around the holidays were baking with our families. Even though young helpers may not be the quickest way to get all of the Christmas cookies made, the memories you all will make as a family will be totally worth it. Embrace the messiness and record some recipes that you’ll make every year together. Click here for some fun, blank recipe cards to record those on!
- Don’t lose perspective with gift giving. Selecting gifts for loved ones might be one of the most stressful parts of the holidays. For us, it’s all about balance. Take advantage of gift guides and other resources that minimize the time your spend searching for that perfect gift so you can have more time with your loved ones. We’ve also included some cute gift tags, so you’ll have one less thing to shop for. 🙂
