OK, not really, but retirement from my full time role at Lifeway is here! I am certainly not leaving ministry. I’m just starting a new season of ministry. It will look different, but I am so very excited about continuing to serving where He leads.
To be honest, the commute and the Nashville traffic has gotten the better of me after
22 years of it. The last few years have been so much worse. And I will NOT miss the
4:30 a.m. alarm clock! Not at all!
I am so excited to be leading a new small discipleship group of four young women in ministry through my church even as I continue to lead the life group I’ve had the joy of leading for over 10 years now. There will be other things I can do through my church that I’ve just not been able to do while working full time.
Speaking to women continues to be a huge calling of mine. My heart wants to show women how to walk in faith no matter what. I also desire to continue to train leaders as God allows. So, as you can see, I’m not retiring to sit at home and watch TV! No way! But having time to really pour over every assignment God gives me will be a huge joy.
From here forward, Kelly King will oversee this blog as well as write articles to you leaders. In case you didn’t see the article announcing her taking the women’s specialist position at Lifeway, check this out. You will love hearing from Kelly as she uses her own leadership expertise to pour into you all.
Thank you for the joy of serving you through this blog for many years. You never know, I may pop in now and then to say hello and share an insight!
