Update // Congratulations to our winners for this event: Sandi, Danielle, Amy, Denise, and Laura!
There’s just something about a live worship experience, isn’t there? You feel the bass drum thumping inside your chest, your chest swells along with the music, and you can hear praises being shouted out by all God’s people all around you. The worship music is one of our personal favorite parts of our live events, and today we want to introduce you to the men and women who lead worship at our events.

Travis Cottrell | Worship Leader at Living Proof Live
For the last 18 years Travis has served as worship leader at Living Proof Live conferences with Beth Moore. He’s produced several albums for Living Proof and counts his involvement with Beth’s ministry as one of the greatest joys of his life. His ministry is fueled by his desire to see this generation of the body of Christ come together for a place of unity in worship using all of what God has ordained for His praise. And truth be told, there’s nothing that would make Travis happier than if you left an event where he led worship and couldn’t remember his name. Because more than anything, Travis longs for people to know, love, and worship the Maker and Lover of our souls. That’s his passion, and ministering to God’s people is his great privilege.
Travis serves as the worship pastor at Englewood Baptist Church in Jackson, TN. He and his wife, Angela, have been married for 21 years and have 3 children—Jack, Lily Kate, and Levi. When he’s not writing music or leading worship, Travis likes to dance in the kitchen with his wife, sing in the car with his kids, laugh like crazy with his friends, and marvel that God would be so gracious to use a boy from Boone to help make His name famous.
Christy Nockels | Worship Leader at Abundance
Christy Nockels has long had a huge appreciation for music and its role it plays in the kingdom of God. As a worship leader for many years, she has been an integral part of Passion Conferences from its inception in 1997. She’s seen first hand music sweep people into the presence of God in a powerful way. A pastor’s kid, who was born in Fort Worth and raised in Oklahoma, she grew up singing in church. She met her husband, Nathan, in 1993 at the Christian Artists Seminar in Estes Park, Co. Christy’s voice gained a national platform when she and Nathan formed the duo Watermark, recording four acclaimed albums before that musical season ended, paving the way for Christy’s solo career. In 2008, the couple moved to Atlanta to become part of Passion City Church where she serves on the worship team with sixstepsrecords labelmates Chris Tomlin and Kristian Stanfill.
Whether she’s opening on tour for Tomlin, leading worship at a women’s conference, singing praises with her friends at Passion City Church or writing a new worship anthem in her mini-van with her children in the backseat, Christy serves God and leads people with a compelling voice and an open heart.
Anthony Evans | Worship Leader at Priscilla Shirer Live
For more than a decade, Anthony Evans has voiced the Gospel with such a melodic, thought-provoking style that he has emerged as one of Christian Music’s premiere male vocalists, songwriters, and worship leaders. His time in Los Angeles with NBC’s hit show The Voice led him to think more progressively about his music—without compromising his faith and message. Anthony wants to speak in terms that connect with people spiritually, no matter where they are at in their faith journey. With seven solo projects, multiple music videos, and inspirational literary collaborations with beloved pastor and international speaker Dr. Tony Evans, Anthony has vibrated the doors of the church and ventured beyond.
Ellie Holcomb | Worship Leader at The Word Alive
Whether she was spinning confessional tales of romantic heartache during her college years, collaborating with her husband Drew as part of his band, Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors, or penning her personal reflections of God’s faithfulness as a solo artist, singer/songwriter Ellie Holcomb has always viewed music as the ultimate bridge-builder. “I love sitting in God’s word and letting music come out,” Ellie shares. “It feels extravagant and it’s become one of my very favorite things to do.” Now with Holcomb’s first solo effort, As Sure As the Sun (Full Heart Music), Scripture is, once again, intentionally at the forefront of all 10 tracks.
Written before—and while—Ellie was pregnant with her daughter, Ellie says her hope is to refresh and encourage weary and wounded hearts. “I love writing songs about truths that I forget so easily—who God is, who I belong to, what I’m called to,” Ellie shares. “When I think about what I want to be doing, it’s singing truth into the darkness. Life is hard, and I’ve walked through some heart-breaking things with friends. But when we’re walking right up to that darkness with God’s truth and light and life, there’s a sense of hope breaking in. I want to help encourage the wounded and weary in our church pews, that’s what I want to be a part of.”
