I have had relatives fight in various wars, but I have not lost one of these loved ones in battle. I can’t imagine getting that kind of news. Perhaps you have experienced this kind loss. I am so grateful for those who fight for our freedom, but I am so sorry you have endured the loss because they did.
Today, we remember those who fought and died in war. May your memories be sweet even in the loss. God knows exactly how you feel. He knows each tear you have shed, and He weeps with you.
He lost His Son in a battle too. But the victory was won through this Son’s sacrifice. I am so grateful our heavenly Father was willing to send His Son into battle for us.
