I can’t think of anything this world needs more than some fresh hope. Just watch the news or listen to a woman’s story and you will likely agree that hope often feels beyond our reach.
Nowhere is this more true than in a remote region of the U.S. called “the four corners.”
This is the region that shares state borders with Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah. It is the only point in the United States shared by four states. Embedded in this quadripoint are several Native American tribes. The Navajo nation is the largest, followed by the Apache nation and the Hopi nation. The Ute and Pueblo tribes are also represented in this area.
The women of these tribes are among the most precious I have met in my ten-plus years of coordinating events. I had the opportunity to visit them in Chinle, Arizona last spring. The landscape is absolutely breathtaking. Their stories are equally captivating.
They were so vulnerable in sharing with me the evidence of darkness that dwells in their stories. Their culture is very maternal and wrought with rampant abuse, alcoholism, and shattered families. They have one of the highest suicide rates in U. S. among girls ages 12-17. My heart was stricken. My heart was smitten.
Though they see evidence of darkness in their communities and culture, their confidence in the hope that Christ offers is unwavering. They are praying. Dozens of Native American women are gathering month and after month and they are begging God for a breakthrough to a new hope for their people.
God has opened up a way for us to bring light and hope to this dark place. He has orchestrated a plan to provide our Living Proof Live event with Beth Moore to these beautiful Native American women in Chinle, Arizona on October 8, 2016. It will be free to any Native American woman who chooses to attend. God has provided a well appointed arena that seats 7,500 people. He has provided a local team to pray and spread the word. And I believe He has provided you.
You have the incredible opportunity to participate in this amazing ministry event—you can scholarship a Native American woman from the four corners region to attend.
Our team of prayer warriors, churches, small groups and other evangelical networks will distribute the tickets on your behalf. And one by one they will come. They will walk, ride buses, and share vans to get there. We believe that every single seat will be full, because of you.
And we know God will be in that place—ready to embrace each one. Right in the middle of her story. The power of His Word will captivate and set her free—to a fresh hope, to a new story. And only the generations to come will be able to recount all that He accomplished through the power of prayer and His people.
