You’ve heard us talk about blessings that come from hosting a simulcast, you know the ways your ministry can grow after a simulcast, and maybe you’ve even thought about attending. But if you still haven’t signed up, maybe one of the following myths is to blame. Let’s debunk, shall we?
Myth #1. I have to go out of town to have a real retreat.
We know you and the women in your church or small group need a break, and sometimes going out of town for a weekend simply isn’t feasible. That’s the beauty of the simulcast. It allows a few hours away from the busyness of life to hear from the Lord, spend time with girlfriends, and form new relationships, all within the walls of your home or church. Women still get the break they deserve, the inspiration they need, and the community they crave — all at a lower cost and time commitment than an out-of-town retreat.
Myth #2. I must watch the simulcast on the day of the live event.
Busy on the day of the live event? No worries! You have full access to the simulcast for 30 days after the live event, meaning you can watch it at a time that is convenient to you. We have an awesome Technical Support Team that can help you with any questions you may have about setting up the technical aspects of a simulcast too!
Myth #3. I need to view the event from beginning to end, all at once.
We love it when churches, individuals, and small groups are able to watch the entire event with us on the day of. However, we know that might not be realistic for your group! Since you have ongoing access for 30 days, you can actually choose to watch each session at different times rather than watching it all at once! This is a great thing to offer at your regularly scheduled women’s ministry gatherings,a special class, or just with a small group of girlfriends. If you need to divide it up into two Saturday mornings so more women are able to fit it into their schedule, that is completely doable. We don’t want time to be a hinderance to you taking part in this awesome event!
Myth #4. I can’t attend a simulcast — there isn’t one in my area.
Have you already checked the map of simulcast host churches and can’t find one in your area? Maybe you’re supposed to be the one to bring it to the women in your community! You don’t have to be a women’s ministry leader or on staff at a church to host the event. We’ve found that a lot of churches are willing to host within their facilities or help promote the event for small groups, but simply don’t have the time or staff to run the event. If a simulcast is an opportunity you’re interested in, we would encourage you to spearhead this ministry in your area! You can host it at your church or invite a small group of women into your home. Hosting isn’t hard, we promise! We’ll provide you with all the resources you need to have a successful simulcast experience.
Myth #5. I can wait until the last minute to register.
Though you technically can register for the event on the day of the simulcast, we would encourage you to sign up for the event as soon as possible. The sooner you sign up, the more time you have to take advantage of the resources we offer to simulcast hosts. We provide you with tips on advertising the simulcast, preparing for it, and making the most of the event. Bottom line: the earlier you register, the bigger reach and impact you can have!
If this sound like an opportunity you want to be a part of, check out the Priscilla Shirer Live Simulcast coming up on April 25. We’d love for you to join us!
Also be sure to check back this Friday, April 17, when we will give away 5 Individual Priscilla Shirer Live Simulcasts, meaning you and your small group could attend for free!
