We are coming up on a brand new year and we thought, why not try something new? We’re excited to announce our first ever online Bible study!
Beginning January 15 and each Thursday for seven weeks, we will meet here to discuss the new study, Freefall to Fly. Rebekah Lyons, the author, will lead us in our study. This great opportunity is an excellent way to start 2015!
Freefall to Fly examines our callings, how they grow from the place where your burdens and gifts collide. Discover your gifting in the context of community.
God wants women to wake up to their birthright, their gifts, and become what He created them to be. It is a unique place when you discover that your talents collide with the things that burden you and stir a passion within you. It is a journey of vulnerability and courage into the unknown – a thrilling, terrifying freefall that eventually can lead to flight. Searching for meaning, we often stumble upon surrender, discovering that meaning follows surrender.
Here’s how the online study will work:
- Fill out the form below so we can know who is in the study and notify you via email when it’s time to “meet” each week.
- Purchase a copy of the Freefall to Fly Member Book here or get an ebook version here. For those overseas, we recommend the ebook! It’s also available through iTunes.
- Return to the blog each week to watch a video of Rebekah talking about the chapter and giving insights into who she is and how God taught her what it was like to freefall to fly.
- Participate by answering questions in the comments of this blog.
We’d love for you to gather a group from your church, your neighborhood, your school, or your workplace to do the study together. We believe that Bible study is more effective (and more fun!) in community. If you cannot find a group in your area, that’s OK! Join us here and answer the questions in the comments. You’ll still get a lot out of it, and you just might make some new friends!
We think this study is the perfect way to kick off a new year. Let’s begin 2015 by learning how God can use our burdens and gifts to bring meaning to our lives and glory to Him!
