This summer, we asked women to share with us about one verse from Scripture and how it has impacted their journey. We’ll be posting some of their answers here on the blog. We pray you’ll be encouraged in your own journey as you read about those of others.
This testimony is from Ashleigh in Milton, FL.
Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen. For our ancestors won God’s approval by it. By faith we understand that the universe was created by God’s command, so that what is seen has been made from things that are not visible.
Hebrews 11:1-3
How can I only pick one verse? These verses help remind me to never give up faith in God. This God that I have faith in is not a stale God. The universe was formed at His command. All my God had to do was speak! This realization gave me confidence I need to always have and keep my faith in Jesus Christ. When I have trials, I remember these verses because the same God I am waiting on for answers or healing is the same God who spoke the universe into existence. And faith is not righteousness, but it is how we access Jesus’ saving righteousness.
