This is last article in a series on holy living we addressed as a part of XChange, a leadership event focused on conversations with women’s ministry leaders of various generations. (Read parts one, two, three, four, five, six, and seven.)
We will conclude with the question, “What does the Bible say specifically about holiness and purity?
- “Consecrate yourselves and be holy, for I am Yahweh your God” (Leviticus 20:7).
- “Run from sexual immorality! ‘Every sin a person can commit is outside the body.’ On the contrary, the person who is sexually immoral sins against his own body” (1 Corinthians 6:18).
- “Do not be mismatched with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?” (2 Corinthians 6:14).
- “So that you may be blameless and pure, children of God who are faultless in a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine like stars in the world” (Philippians 2:15).
- “Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God” (Romans 12:1-2).
When we study Scripture and see God’s holiness (see Isaiah 6:1-3), we should be compelled to be holy and to lead women to holiness.
