You can read Random Thoughts Part 1, 2 and 3 that were previous posts. Here are more thoughts, leader to leader. Most of these come on a daily email I get from a friend here at Lifeway. Sometimes I get them and they stop me in my tracks. I just have to save and re-read each one. Comments in italics are my own musings about the thoughts. I pray these will bless you as well, especially during the rush of this holiday season.
1. “Here is a test to find out whether our mission in life is complete., If you’re alive, it isn’t.” (Richard Bach) I am pressured by both. I have the desire to depart and be with Christ—which is far better— but to remain in the flesh is more necessary for you. Philippians 1:23-24 HSCB Father, help me to keep on task while I am alive and to inspire other women to do the same.
2. When something robs you of your peace of mind, ask yourself if it is worth the energy you are expending on it. If not, then put it out of your mind in an act of discipline. Every time the thought of ‘it’ returns, refuse it.” (Kay Arthur) My dearly loved brothers, understand this: everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for man’s anger does not accomplish God’s righteousness. (James 1:19-20 HCSB) Lord, please help me not waste time on things that aren’t worth it or may never even happen!
3. “God never gives us a responsibility, a load or a burden without also giving us the ability to be victorious.” (Bill Bright) 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! (1 Cor 15:57 HCSB) May I always trust you to give me all I need to do all you ask!
I pray these will speak to you not only as you read today, but in the days ahead as you serve Him!
