We are very excited to announce we will be embracing one community focus for the entire year on the Lifeway Women Blog! And we can’t wait to go on this journey with you. So without further ado, the 2026 community focus is … drumroll please!
Friends and Sisters
This will be a yearlong journey exploring Christ-centered friendship and sisterhood, growing deeper in faith together through Scripture, prayer, and shared life.
Why this theme? Because we believe God created us for relationship—with Him and with one another. Our hope is that 2026 becomes a year where we grow together, cultivating meaningful community, deep friendship, and Christ-centered sisterhood across every season. Whether you’re surrounded by a vibrant circle of friends or praying for just one trusted sister to walk alongside you, this year is for you. Through Scripture, teaching, stories, and practical encouragement, we’ll explore what it means to build friendships that help us draw near to Christ and to each other.
This year, we’re introducing our new Know His Word yearlong Bible reading plan, designed to walk you through Scripture while highlighting friendships, mentorships, and relationships woven throughout the Bible. You’ll dive into relationships like Abraham and God; Moses, Aaron, and Miriam; and more, discovering what each of these relationships teaches us about walking faithfully with God and with one another.
A Look at the Year Ahead
Our theme will unfold across four seasonal focuses, each spotlighting a unique angle of friendship, community, and spiritual growth.
January–March: Rooted Together in Christ
Start the year with sisters who help you draw near to Christ and grow deep in His Word.
We’ll be turning our attention to the foundation of all friendships: Jesus Himself. This quarter will help us build rhythms that ground our relationships in God’s Word—through prayer, accountability, encouragement, and everyday connection.
April–June: Walking with Sisters in Faith
Celebrate the joy of friendship and discipleship lived out in everyday rhythms.
This quarter is full of hands-on, practical encouragement for strengthening the friendships God has already placed in your life.
July–September: Rooted for the Long Run
Persevering in faith and friendship, with God’s Word as our foundation.
This summer, we’ll explore how friendships endure through challenges, hardships, forgiveness, mentoring, and seasons of loneliness. From extending grace to building relationships across generations, we’ll look at the hope God offers through sisters who walk alongside us for the long haul.
October–December: All Who Draw Near
End the year by drawing near to Christ together, finding hope and light in His presence.
As we move into fall and Advent, we’ll turn our hearts toward hope, worship, and the presence of Christ. We’ll talk about how Scripture and sisterhood help us keep our eyes on Jesus, especially when life feels heavy, and find peace as we anticipate the arrival of Emmanuel—God with Us.
Friendship in Christ is one of the most beautiful gifts God gives His daughters. It comforts us, challenges us, grows us, and grounds us. When we walk closely with other women who love Jesus, we experience a glimpse of God’s heart—a love that is steadfast, refining, forgiving, and full of joy.
Our prayer is that this year helps you see your friendships not as extras, but as essential pieces of your spiritual life. We want 2026 to be a year where women cheer one another on, link arms when life is heavy, and celebrate God’s goodness in both ordinary moments and sacred ones.
