One of our favorite traditions each February is celebrating Galentine’s! It’s such a fun reason to get your Bible study besties together to laugh, encourage each other, and enjoy fellowship. There are endless ways to celebrate Galentine’s—movie nights, dessert boards, going out to eat (Waffle House, anyone?), and more—but we want to highlight our favorite idea for 2023: a spa night in with your girls!
We all need some relaxation and self-care, and that’s what a spa night is all about. Here are some tips and ideas to make your Galentine’s spa night a hit:
- Get some face masks! Even your local drugstore will have some. This is an easy way to feel like you’re really at the spa. And don’t forget the cucumber slices for the full effect!
- Watch your favorite romantic comedy in the background—or if you’re taking this super seriously, play some instrumental spa music.
- Ask each woman attending to bring her favorite shade of nail polish. You’ll have plenty of shades to choose from when it’s time to give each other manicures!
- There is bound to be someone in your group who loves to style hair or is basically a makeup artist. Ask her to bring her tools and give the group a tutorial! If you don’t have someone in your group who wants to do this, there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube.
- Make tea and serve it with honey and sugar cubes. It’ll add to the relaxing atmosphere!
- Write notes of encouragement at the end of the night so each woman can take home “Valentine’s cards” and feel uplifted. Click here for printable Galentine’s cards to share!
