If you’re planning on joining us for Lifeway Women Live in Atlanta, you’re in for a treat. At this event, we’ll be filming the video teaching sessions for our new study on prayer, When You Pray!
For many of us, prayer is difficult. It’s the way we relate to God, but sometimes, it’s a struggle. Our focus at this special event on prayer and in When You Pray is to empower you to come near to God through prayer.
When you join us for the live event, you’ll put what you learn about prayer into practice through a prayer-centered worship session with BK Bridge and a special music segment by Ellie Holcomb. It’s going to be powerful!
Some of our Lifeway Women Live speakers and When You Pray authors shared what they are learning about prayer in this season. Here’s what they said:
Kristi McLelland

“I have been studying prayer and the Scriptures this summer and man, it is quickening me unto all righteousness. Prayer is not passive, it’s active. It’s a way of contending for the way of the living God. It’s a way of patterning with the living God to see the kingdom come down to the ground.”
Jennifer Rothschild

“Lament really is a pathway to redemption, not a dead end. It’s what God gave us to guide our messy emotions down a path of truth.”
Jada Edwards

“In my time of intercessory prayer, lately I have been going before God and just saying the names of people who are heavy on my heart. I can go with specific requests, but sometimes my first inclination is not God’s greatest good. So I just sit before God, say their name, say what’s going on, and ask God, ‘What is your greatest good? How can I pray for them? How can I come alongside and cover them in prayer?”’
