I don’t know about you, but I can hardly contain my excitement: travel season is back in full swing! Our team is kicking off our first live events of the 2022 season this weekend with not one but two live events. We’ll be in Jackson, Mississippi, with Priscilla Shirer for Going Beyond Live and in Charlotte, North Carolina, for Glory with Jackie Hill Perry.
We’re just getting started! We’re bringing events to fourteen cities this year.
Are you ready? Grab your suitcase, and let’s hit the road for a weekend filled with worship, spiritual growth, and fellowship with friends new and old.
You’ve got your suitcase, your outfits perfectly planned, and your makeup bag, but what are you forgetting? If you’re a frequent traveler like me (woo!), then chances are you might forget a few things. Don’t worry! I’ve created a Lifeway Women event packing checklist so nothing slips off the list!
Here’s what we’re packing for Lifeway Women events this year:
- Bible. It seems pretty obvious, but you’re not going to want to miss the opportunity to underline, highlight, and bookmark the pages of Scripture we will dive into together during a Lifeway Women event weekend.
- Journal. You’re going to need a place to write all the notes and important things God teaches you through your time at a Lifeway Women event. Sometimes I use the notes app on my phone, but nothing beats a beautiful Scripture journal like this one.
- Favorite pen + a backup. You know that favorite pen that’s sitting on your desk or in your kitchen drawer? Don’t forget to put it in your bag so you can take notes throughout your weekend. Bonus: don’t forget to bring a backup pen in case someone needs to borrow a pen. (What a great way to make a new friend!)
- Highlighter. Get ready to dive into passages of Scripture that you will want to return to later for even deeper study and meditation. Use your favorite highlighter to remember key passages from your event. These Bible dry highlighters are my favorite because they will not bleed through the pages of your Bible. Plus, they come in several colors.
- Tote bag. One of my favorite things to do at an event is to visit the Lifeway event bookstore! You’re going to find so many of your favorite products, new Bible study releases, and special event-only prices, so bring a tote bag to carry all your treasures home.
- Phone charger. You’ll be taking pictures with friends, sharing videos of speakers, and posting all about the fun you’re having during event weekend—don’t let the fun end just because your phone hits ten percent.
- Water bottle. Bottled water may not always be readily available for purchase at an event venue, but you can usually rely on a nearby water fountain to quench your thirst. Pro tip: fill your bottle with ice and refill it throughout the day to stay hydrated.
- Cardigan or light jacket. I almost always find myself in need of an extra layer during events. Don’t forget to toss your favorite cardigan or jacket into your suitcase before hitting the road for event weekend!
