“I was hesitant when I signed up for this event because I didn’t really consider myself to be a leader. My friend begged me to attend with her, and I’m so glad I did! I feel like I’m equipped to do the things God has laid on my heart.”
A sweet lady shared this with me at Forum last year. As she pushed her bright red glasses back to the bridge of her nose and with giddiness in her voice, she told me what God had taught her through the different speakers at the event.
The Women’s Leadership Forum is an event for all women. Whether you serve on a church staff, lead a small group, run your own business, or stay at home with your kids, this event is for you. Leadership is influence, and you have influence. One way to steward the influence God has given you is to invest in it by attending the Women’s Leadership Forum. Merriam-Webster defines invest as, “to make use of for future benefits or advantages.”1 Your future self will be grateful that you decided to take the time to invest in your influence. Here are three reasons why Women’s Leadership Forum is the best leadership event for you.
YOU WILL BE ENCOURAGED AND EQUIPPED BY THE TEACHING OF TODAY’S TOP MINISTRY LEADERS AND AUTHORS.
Lifeway treasures biblical truth and enlists platform and breakout speakers that do the same. You can trust that these leaders walk with God and that the resources they offer will be trustworthy. From worship with Lauren Chandler to our general sessions with Kelly Minter, Kristi McLelland, Kelly King, Carey Nieuwhof, Elizabeth Woodson, and Tara-Leigh Cobble, you will be encouraged to go deeper in your spiritual walk and be equipped with the tools you need to be confident in your leadership calling.
YOU CAN CUSTOMIZE YOUR OWN EXPERIENCE.
There will be over 20 breakouts sessions to choose from at Women’s Leadership Forum! To help you choose, we have placed them in three different categories—General Leadership, Ministry Training, and Personal Equipping. Everyone’s leadership calling looks different. No matter what season you are in, there will be breakout sessions just for you!
Here are just a few breakout sessions to get you excited:
- Leading With Multicultural Lenses (Y Bonesteele)
- Burnout, Brokenness, and the Beauty of Grace: Truths for the Well-Watered Woman (Gretchen Saffles)
- Anatomy of a Miracle (Lisa Harper)
- Develop Any Disciple: A 5-Step Discipleship Method that Works! (Ashley Gorman)
- Leading and Grieving: When Leadership Requires Us to Lead Through Our Own Pain (Paige Clayton Greene)
- And so many more!
YOU HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO RECONNECT WITH OLD FRIENDS AND MAKE NEW ONES.
Although many times leaders feel isolated, you were never meant to lead alone. At Women’s Leadership Forum, you might walk in feeling alone, but you will not leave that way. You will have the opportunity to network with other leaders just like you. By connecting with women outside of your normal community, you will find encouragement and a safe place to process questions, develop new ideas, and expand your network of like-minded kingdom leaders.
This year’s theme is “Confident,” based on Jeremiah 17:7: “The person who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence indeed is the LORD, is blessed.” The world is constantly drowning us with a lie that confidence is only something you can possess on your own. If you try harder. If you put yourself first. If you love yourself more. If you root your leadership in yourself, you will not only be miserable, but you will fail; however, if you root your leadership in God, He will do immeasurably more than you could ever imagine.
