A note from Kelly King: Occasionally, we enjoy bringing you links to blogs we’re reading. If we see something that catches our attention for women leaders, we want to share it with you. In light of recent developments in regard to sexual assault and offenders, Dr. Katie McCoy provided a biblical response on the dignity of women and how the Bible reflects God’s attention to this subject. This article first appeared yesterday on the Biblical Woman blog that is hosted by Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where Dr. McCoy serves as Assistant Professor of Theology in Women’s Studies. She holds a PhD in Systematic Theology from Southwestern, and her research focused on Old Testament laws about women’s personhood and what they teach us about women’s dignity and social justice.
