Paige Greene is the director for Lifeway’s Adult Live Events team. She leads the team that programs and executes events such as Living Proof Live, Festivals of Marriage, Priscilla Shirer Live, Collegiate Week and the Main Event.
I am thankful for so many things, especially my friends. I am blessed with many good dear and loyal friends; more than I deserve. But there is one friend for whom I’m especially thankful.
You see, my life is so very full from leading the Adult Live Event team at Lifeway to working on my Masters in Professional Counseling. So, I don’t have time for a dog. But, OOOOOH, I love a dog.
I believe God put dogs on earth just to minister to his children. I have almost gotten a dog several times, but common sense always saves the day…. and my loyal friends reminding me that if I get a dog, their busy lives will keep them from caring for it when I ‘m off on an event.
But God has provided a way. He has given me a part time dog…A God dog…a dog I get to be an aunt to. God has given me the amazing COOKIE!
To say she is an angel is an understatement. She belongs (most of the time) to my dear friend (and Lifeway Author/Speaker, Lisa Harper). Since Lisa travels more than I do, I get the blessing of hosting the COOKIE-dawg at my house many a long weekend.
I’m thankful for Cookie because she loves quiet time with Jesus and looking out of my front door for squirrels and cats.
She loves riding with me in the convertible bug with the top down so she can sniff and watch for squirrels and smile at those we pass.
She is a kind, happy and empathetic buddy, and I am THANKFUL for the times I get to have her. She is a dog among dogs. I am thankful for Cookie!
